The Piazza of Lake Orta
The center of Lake Orta and the piazza is accessible by foot. It’s a beautiful walk taking just about 20 minutes. Here you can enjoy delicious restaurants, lovely unique shops and the ambience of small village life in the piazza.

Novara - Milan – Torino
It’s possible to take the train from the Orta-Miasino station, quite near Camping Cusio to tour Novara. Milan is approximately 45 minutes (90 km) drive by car, one hour by train (from the Arona station) and Torino is about 2.5 hours (130 kn) drive by car or 2 hours by train.

Each city offers plenty to see and do for daytrips or overnight stays to enjoy opera or soccer.

Pescone-Pettenasco-The Pescone Valley
From Pettenasco, which is about 3 km from Camping Cusio, the road climbs towards the characteristic railway bridge, following a strange curved trail. The bridge marks the gateway of the Pescone Valley, also called Val Fata. Immediately on the left there is a path that goes up to Pratolungo along the way called "Prea Grosa". After 100 m there are two bridges: the ancient one is in stone and is marked by a small chapel; the other, more recent, is open also to vehicles. You reach the source of Paganetto. Going straight and walking through the Pescone Valley finally you get to Armeno. From there the more trained ones can continue towards The Mottarone.

Mottarone-Stresa
Mount Mottarone is considered a "natural balcony" from which there are 360° panoramic views across the Po Valley to the Alps. From the summit you can see seven lakes: Lake Maggiore, Lake Orta, Lake Mergozzo, Lake Varese, Lake Comabbio, Lake Monate and Lake Biandronno. There are several walking trails in the Mottarone area and you can also reach the mountain via cable car from Stresa.

Valsesia-River Rafting and other sports activities
The Monrosa in Balmuccia (VC), Valsesia.On the Mount Rosa slopes, the sports center occupies a wide green area directly on Sesia river, in a strategic location for any river sport. It is located in a very large area equipped with a bar, barbecues, showers, deckchairs, volleyball and soccer grounds: ideal to relax after a descent!
